Presumably from the late 1950s or early 1960s, this brooch has a shooting star or comet shape to it. A large round center stone has a scalloped setting and is surrounded by icy blue marquise cut stones that alternate with an aurora borealis finish. A crescent of baguettes runs along the bottom and pear shaped A/B stones form an abstract pattern at the top. Four wires sprays are applied to the reverse and tipped with round A/B rhinestones circled with blue prong set stones. Stamped WEISS on reverse. Set in shiny silver toned (rhodium plated) metal.

CONDITION
I can’t decide if there is the tiniest of chips in one of the baguettes. There are a couple of scratches in the aurora borealis finish on one of the pear shaped stones. Neither of these flaws are particularly noticeable.
