Something in blue by one of my favorite designers. Vendome is under the umbrella of the Coro company. I believe pieces began being marked Vendome in 1957. This stunner features aurora borealis marquise and sapphire colored blue rhinestones with large faux pearls in a dog toothed prong setting. Necklace is marked twice. Once on the fish hook clasp and once on a rectangular plaque applied to the reverse of the center of the necklace. Set in a silver toned setting.

Condition

There is some wear to the plating on the reverse, particularly on the earrings. The rhinestones were rather hastily glued into their settings and the excess has pooled in spots on the reverse and yellowed with time. This can be seen in the photos.

One of my favorite designers! These earrings are a conglomeration of crystal beads with an aurora borealis overlay tipped with prong set rhinestones with shiny silver leaves tucked in. All bits are wired onto a silver toned filigree base. Standard Vendome/Coro Craft adjustable clip on/screw back earrings are as comfortable as they come. Back of each clip is marked Vendôme.

Earrings are: 1.5 inches in length .75 inches in width

Condition

The rhinestones are only set with three prongs each and some of them a just a little bit loose. Otherwise, splendid condition. If you have the matching necklace or bracelet, how can you resist?
