Light and airy 1950s brooch in icy blue and light green rhinestones. Key hole shaped stones are unfoiled. An applied oval plaque on the reverse is marked REGENCY. Round prong set stones in varying sizes (some with an aurora borealis finish) have marquise cut accents and are attached to wires giving this brooch the effect of floating right off the garment to which it is applied. Gold toned metal.

2.5 inches long 2 inches wide.
Condition

There are two small flaws to note. One prong has come undone from its frame (at the very top center, pictured) but it is very hard to see and does not detract from the beauty of this brooch. I think one of the keyhole stones may be chipped. It is nothing but a bite, so small I am not sure if it is really chipped or not. While wearing, everyone will think this stunning pin is in excellent condition.

Circa 1950s uniquely styled butterfly brooch. Instead of the typical full on butterfly, this sly little devil is caught in a profile position. Gold toned metal. Sky blue rhinestones in chanton and marquise cuts. Olive green rhinestones cut in varying sizes of chanton with just a couple of marquise cuts. Wings have textured metal outlines. Signed Regency on an oval plaque applied to the reverse.

Brooch is 1.5 inches in width and 1.5 inches in height

CONDITION

There is some wear to the plating, but it is mostly on the reverse and not very noticeable. Otherwise, marvelous!
