1940s Trifari Rhinestone Snake Chain Choker Necklace

This 1940s necklace features brilliant oval shaped rhinestones with small round accents and a swirly baguette rhinestone ribbon. Centerpiece is attached to snake chains and this choker necklace is adjustable with a fish hook closure. I knew this was Trifari the moment I saw it as I have a few necklaces this style and age in my personal collection. Finding the mark was a bit of a trick. The fish hook was bent into it’s shape (during manufacturing) with the Trifari crown mark on the inside. It is followed by Pat Pend. Gold toned metal.

Measurements

Adjustable choker necklace measures 14 to 16.5 inches in wearable length.

Center measures 3 inches wide and 1.5 inches in length

Condition

There is some very minor surface scratching to the metal plating. All stones are in excellent shape with no yellowing, darkening, or other flaws.

Grade: Excellent

1940s Vintage Reinad 4 Leaf Clover/Dogwood Rhinestone Earrings

Circa 1940s vintage rhinestone earrings marked REINAD on reverse of clip back. The motif appears to be a four leaf clover or possibly a dogwood blossom. You be the judge. Well made earrings are set in a gold toned metal, are very heavy for their size and have detailed notches on the tip of each petal.

Measurements

These earrings are just over 1″ in length and 3/4″ in width.

Condition

The setting is open in the back and the stones are foil set. There is a few flakes of foil missing, but it’s only noticeable when you hold the earrings up to a light.

Trifari Meteor Crown Mark Baguette Rhinestone Earrings Alfred Philippe

New Look/Post War era Trifari Rhinestone earrings have moving parts! A spray of baguettes swing from a gold toned metal knot. The earrings can be found on page 179 of Collecting Costume Jewelry by Carroll. Signed TRIFARI (with crown mark) PAT PEND on reverse of each clip back. Evidently these earrings were advertised by Trifari in 1949.

Measurements

These earrings measure just over 1 1/2″ in length and just over 1/2″ at their widest.

Condition

The metal could stand to be shined up a bit.

1940s LARGE Sterling Silver Floral Bouquet Brooch Pin by Hobé

Massive floral bouquet brooch tied with flowing ribbons. Three long leaves jut out at the top. Marked HOBÉ STERLING DESIGN PAT’D on a square plaque applied to the reverse of brooch.

Measurements

3.75 inches in length 2 inches at it’s widest

Condition

One flower bud is a little loose, but in no danger of coming off, I just heard it rattling when I shook the brooch. A few of the stems are not perfectly straight. There is some silver polish residue on the reverse. A patina has developed. This brooch could be polished to a high shine if you so desired.

Grade: Very Good

1930s-1940s REINAD Machine Age Chain Choker Necklace with Tassel

Circa 1930s tailored machine age triple strand, choker necklace. Tiered centerpiece with ring and ball bearing details has a six strand chain tassel. Softly colored, gold toned metal. Great movement and timeless style. Reverse of push/slot style clasp is stamped REINAD.

Measurements

15 inches in wearable length.

Centerpiece measures 1.5 inches tall and .75 inches at it’s widest.

Tassel drops nearly 2.5 inches.

Condition

Necklace has been worn and there is significant wear to the gold toned metal, particularly on the back of the clasp. Minor surface scratching, also concentrated on the clasp. Overall, fine wearable condition by a hard to find designer.

Grade: Very Good

1940s Rhinestone Trifari Crown Mark Key Brooch Pin

Sophisticated key motif brooch or pin. Faux prong set rhinestones with channel set stones in the middle. Gold toned metal. Marked with the early Trifari crown stamp and Pat. Pend. Classically styled 1940s tailored jewelry.

Measurements

2.75 inches in length. .75 inches at it’s widest.

Condition

There is some slight discoloration to one of the rhinestones. The black spot you see is only the reflection of my camera. Slight wear to plating and a little tarnish in the nooks and crannies.

Grade: Very Good

1940s Trifari Crown Mark Tailored Abstract Bow Brooch/Pin

This lovely brooch features an abstract bow motif in the classically tailored look of the 1940s. This pin was probably originally worn on the lapel of a suit and I dare say it would be quite appropriate tin the same location today. High shine, gold toned metal.

Measurements

2.5 inches in width 1.25 inches in length

Condition

There is significant surface scratching throughout.

1940s Marcel Boucher Rhinestone Spider Web Necklace

Marcel Boucher necklace has the phrygian cap MB signature. The mark 2626 is the inventory number that tells us this necklace was designed in 1947 and was made sometime in that year or a year that closely followed it. Two thick snake chains are intertwined and culminate in a center focal point clasp. A spider web motif with pavé set rhinestone centers that extend into rippling soft gold toned metal webs accented with brilliant baguette rhinestones.

Measurements

16 inches in wearable length. The necklace can be twisted a little more to make it a tighter fitting 15 inches.

Clasp is 1.5 inches in height and both sides together extend over 3 inches.
Condition

Very good vintage condition. There is a slight discoloration to some of the stones in the pavé centers. They appear far more yellow in the photos than in reality. There is slight wear to the plating on the inside of the clasp. Otherwise magnificent!

Grade: Very Good
